At The Miami Foundation, we’ve seen Miami show up time and again, whether it’s the tens of thousands of community members who come together to support nonprofits on Give Miami Day or the hundreds of donors who tell us they want to get more involved all year round. April is National Volunteer Month, which serves as a powerful reminder of the immense impact that volunteers can have on advancing the missions of nonprofit organizations that are addressing our region’s most pressing needs.
According to a recent study on Florida nonprofits, over 42% say they need more volunteers and more than one-third of nonprofit organizations have challenges finding program volunteers. Nonprofit leaders work relentlessly to find, grow, and retain this invaluable talent. We are honored to shine a spotlight on some of our incredible nonprofit partners who are at the forefront of volunteer initiatives, driving positive change and fostering a culture of giving back in our community.
Get involved with local nonprofits that are protecting our coastlines, improving public transit, reclaiming public spaces, improving our community’s access to greener and more nutritious food supply, and more!
