Because of our independent position, we realized we could mobilize resources and address community issues through policy change and public affairs. That\u2019s the strategy behind our Civic Leadership Agenda.<\/p>\n<p>We set ambitious goals for the agenda to truly move the needle on three issues we\u2019re best positioned to address: parks and public spaces, transportation and urban mobility and adapting to sea-level rise. These pressing issues are critical to ensuring Miami\u2019s vibrancy into the future.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re committed to mobilizing action and creating solutions for these important matters. Programs like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.publicspacechallenge.org\/page\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Public Space Challenge<\/a> seek to uncover the best ideas for creating and improving local public spaces. <a href=\"https:\/\/knightfoundation.org\/articles\/transportation-expert-gabe-klein-maps-out-path-success-cities-his-new-book\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Public forums with transportation experts<\/a> have engaged the community on transit solutions.
