2020 LGBTQ Community Fund Grantees<\/h1>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”black” border_width=”4″][vc_column_text css=””]Through a partnership with the National LGBTQ Task Force<\/a>, our LGBTQ Community Fund<\/a> receives a portion of the proceeds from the Task Force\u2019s annual Gala Miami<\/a> and Winter Party Festival<\/a>. Each year, the Foundation and local Fund Committee reinvest the funding to support nonprofits improving the quality of life for Greater Miami\u2019s LGBTQ residents. \u201cThe urgent needs created by COVID-19 called upon us to accelerate our 2020 grantmaking and to modify our process to increase speed and leverage insights from our long history doing this work,\u201d wrote Charisse Grant, former senior vice president for programs and grants administration. \nTo\u00a0provide\u00a0LGBTQ youth\u00a0and\u00a0families\u00a0with\u00a0service and care\u00a0coordination,\u00a0and build community support through education\u00a0programs and advocacy for\u00a0equal rights\u00a0of\u00a0all youth.<\/p>\n

Arianna\u2019s Center<\/strong><\/a> – $30,000
\nTo support\u00a0transgender women of color and immigrants\u00a0in\u00a0crisis situations by navigating\u00a0release from detention and\u00a0imprisonment,\u00a0and services for\u00a0HIV testing, safe housing,\u00a0and economic opportunity.<\/p>\n

Equality Florida Institute<\/strong><\/a> – $10,000
\nTo sustain advocacy for\u00a0securing full equality for\u00a0the\u00a0LGBTQ community,\u00a0as COVID-19 has\u00a0made more urgent the challenge of overcoming legal barriers to\u00a0protecting themselves, partners\u00a0and their loved ones.<\/p>\n

Freedom Fund Network<\/strong><\/a> – $30,000
\nTo support the South Florida work of the\u00a0LGBTQ Freedom Fund\u00a0to\u00a0raise awareness of LGBTQ over-incarceration\u00a0and secure the liberty and safety of\u00a0LGBTQ\u00a0people held in jail or immigration detention.<\/p>\n

Latinos Salud<\/strong><\/a> – $30,000
\nTo\u00a0support safe\u00a0spaces\u00a0for\u00a0gay Latinos,\u00a0those\u00a0living with HIV,\u00a0and anyone who identifies as transgender\u00a0to find friends, support,\u00a0and resources\u00a0for\u00a0health education\u00a0and prevention,\u00a0screenings and links to other services.<\/p>\n

Maven Leadership Collective<\/strong><\/a> – $15,000
\nTo invest in social impact leaders who are queer and trans people of color and allies to build communities that thrive even in the face of crisis, transition and tragedy.<\/p>\n

Pridelines Youth Services<\/strong><\/a> – $30,000
\nTo\u00a0sustain programs that\u00a0support, educate,\u00a0and empower South Florida\u2019s\u00a0LGBTQ\u00a0youth\u00a0and young adults\u00a0with\u00a0safe\u00a0spaces adapted\u00a0for social-distancing and\u00a0virtual\u00a0support services.<\/p>\n

Safe Schools South Florida<\/strong><\/a> – $10,000
\nTo\u00a0continue advocacy and programs that support students and teachers in creating safe school settings where all students can learn and thrive, regardless of\u00a0sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.<\/p>\n

SAVE Foundation, Inc.<\/strong><\/a> – $10,000
\nTo\u00a0sustain advocacy and policy work in South Florida to increase\u00a0awareness about rights and protections for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.<\/p>\n

Survivors Pathway Corporation<\/strong><\/a> – $10,000
\nTo\u00a0provide\u00a0counseling, public health, support groups,\u00a0and advocacy\u00a0for individuals and families from the LGBTQI and Latino communities who are survivors of domestic, sexual,\u00a0and intimate partner violence, human trafficking and other victimization.<\/p>\n

YES Institute<\/strong><\/a> – $10,000
