Geryel currently serves as the Collective Impact Senior Manager at The Miami Foundation. An immigrant from Colombia, she was nurtured in the vibrant heart of Miami and is a proud graduate of Miami-Dade County Public Schools. With a background in higher education, nonprofit management, and healthcare, Geryel is deeply invested in the well-being of others and strives to embed racial equity into every aspect of her work. She earned dual master’s degrees from Columbia University in Public Health and Urban Planning, a Bachelor’s degree from Florida International University, and an Associate’s degree from Miami Dade College. In their free time, Geryel enjoys traveling, baking, poetry, and spending time with her furry companion.
