Inspiring Civic Involvement
Civically engaged communities are stronger communities. We inspire civic involvement by expanding access to critical information through investments in local news, forums, and information.

Vote Miami
With historically low turnout rates in Miami-Dade and only 47% showing up to vote in the 2022 Midterm Elections, Vote Miami wants to increase voter turnout and civic engagement in Miami. Local elections directly impact our daily lives and influence our collective ability to create a thriving Greater Miami.

Press Forward South Florida
Press Forward South Florida is an investment in the local news and information ecosystem to ensure everyone has access to the local knowledge and updates they need. We are a local initiative fueled by national insights and local donors.

My Miami Story
Life in Greater Miami is captured in stories from the 2.7 million people who call this place home. My Miami Story adds your voice to the countywide conversation about who we are, where we’re going and what we can do to get there.

Public Space Challenge
The Public Space Challenge is an ideas contest open to anyone in Miami-Dade County with an idea for creating, improving or activating our local parks and public spaces. We are looking for your best ideas that make moving around our community easier.

Thrive305
Thrive305 was a collaborative effort led by the Office of Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava’s Division of Innovation and Performance, in partnership with The Miami Foundation and a coalition of other national funders, to activate Miamians, build public dialogue around critical regional issues, strengthen community partnerships, and inform County government policy and priorities through civic collaboration.

Miami Counts 2020
Miami-Dade Counts 2020 is a collaborative effort, built by a growing base of local and national funders, to help ensure that everyone in Miami-Dade County is counted in the 2020 Census. We provided grants for nonprofits and grassroots organizations working to ensure a complete count – especially in the most hard-to-count and reach communities – as well as other resources to carry out their efforts.
