LGBTQ+ Equity Fund
As we work to build a better Miami, we recognize that LGBTQ+ individuals, like all people, deserve equal opportunities, access to resources, and freedom from discrimination. In partnership with The National LGBTQ Task Force and Our Fund, The Miami Foundation leverages the LGBTQ+ Equity Fund to respond to the needs of the LGBTQ+ community and invest in opportunities that promote equity, prosperity and health in South Florida.
The Racial Equity Fund
The Racial Equity Fund represents The Miami Foundation’s commitment to mobilizing resources and investing in solutions that combat systemic racism, inequity, and injustice, creating long-term change and building a more just and equitable Miami.
We seeded the Racial Equity Fund with just $100,000 in June 2020. Since then, more than 150 donors have banded together to raise more than $2 million to power serious change in our community.
State of Black Philanthropy
Each year, The Miami Foundation hosts The State of Black Philanthropy, a night of joy, gratitude, and accountability grounded in the generosity and strength of Miami’s Black community. In addition to honoring community and philanthropic champions in our community, The Foundation publishes a report detailing local and national giving and community data.
