Our Community’s Priorities

We are responsive to our community’s needs and house nearly 1,000 community efforts across every issue area and neighborhood.

We work together with our region’s public, private, and philanthropic sectors to advance the issues that matter most to our community. There are five current priorities that our community has identified:

Empowering Youth & Families

We are empowering the next generation by ensuring Miami-Dade’s youth and families have equitable access to educational and developmental opportunities. Through strategic investments and partnerships, we enhance outcomes at school, at home, and in community.

Generating Prosperity

As part of our mission to build a Miami where everyone can thrive, we contribute to economic mobility efforts that make South Florida a great place for all to live. We partner with local nonprofits, government agencies, and the business sector to invest in our local workforce, small businesses, and overall financial health of our community.

Inspiring Civic Involvement

Civically engaged communities are stronger communities. We inspire civic involvement by expanding access to critical information through investments in local news, forums, and information.

Building Climate & Disaster Resilience

In partnership with government officials and grassroots organizations, we are strengthening the resiliency of our built and natural environment against hurricanes, extreme heat, and other natural and manmade disasters.
