Cary Valdes-Perez is a dedicated leader, businesswoman, and experienced professional with over 15 years in the assurance and advisory services sector. She joined Kaufman Rossin in 2007 as an intern and has since risen to the role of Principal, where she provides consulting and attestation services to a diverse range of clients, from start-ups to large enterprises. Specializing in manufacturing distribution and retail, technology, not for profits, broker dealers, and employee benefit plans, Cary has worked on many high-profile engagements, demonstrating her expertise in both technical accounting and client relationships. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Miami and is a Certified Public Accountant in New Hampshire, with membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Fluent in English and Spanish, Cary is committed to delivering impactful solutions for her clients, no matter the complexity or industry.
Beyond her technical expertise, Cary is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion. In 2015, she co-founded Kaufman Rossin Empowering Women, the firm’s first employee resource group, and has since taken on a leadership role overseeing all Employee Resource Groups. She is an active member of the firm’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, working to foster an inclusive and supportive culture for all employees. Cary’s leadership extends beyond the workplace, where she is also a proud mom of two and a wife. Driven by a desire to empower others, Cary is dedicated to shaping the future of both Kaufman Rossin and the broader community.
