Amanda Altman is CEO of one of Miami-Dade County’s leading human services organizations, Kristi House, Inc. Kristi House serves in an exclusive role as the nationally accredited Children’s Advocacy Center responsible for all cases in Miami-Dade County involving child sexual abuse and sex trafficking.
Amanda came to lead the organization five and a half years ago, having served as an attorney in private practice and for the Southern District of Florida before pursuing her calling to full-time community-focused work. The Board charged her with diversifying resources and strengthening relations to ensure the organization could continue to fulfill ever-growing needs in our vast county.
Amanda has increased private, unrestricted fundraising, and competed on a national platform winning several major federal grants in her tenure for the agency’s work in human trafficking and child trauma treatment. Her leadership has grown the organization, more than doubling its operating budget in her five years, and serving more children than ever. Ms. Altman is leading three capital projects for Kristi House, and was most recently recognized as the Miami-Dade Outstanding Not-for-Profit Businesswoman of the Year by the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce.
