Kathy Bird Carvajal is an Ecuadorian-American immigrant rights advocate who grew up in Miami, Florida. With over 20 years of experience in the field, she has dedicated her career to advancing the rights of immigrant communities. Kathy has served on the staff of Americans for Immigrant Justice, Florida Immigrant Coalition and is the former Executive Director of IMPAC Fund. She currently directs the Miami-Dade County Office of New Americans. Her work spans local, state, and federal immigration policy, and she has played a key role in numerous successful policy and electoral campaigns across Florida. Passionate about justice and equity, Kathy continues to champion the rights of immigrants in her community and beyond.
