Celebrating Overtown’s nonprofit landscape

Crafting Liberation by Cornelius Tulloch is a collage depicting the artist's interpretation of the Black freedom to live, to thrive, and to write the future. It features cut outs of Miami leaders, landmarks, and iconography. The main color of this piece is bright red, with yellow, gray, and green accents.

The vibrant community of Overtown — the site of our 10th annual State of Black Philanthropy — has hundreds of community builders and shapers working together on a daily basis for a flourishing neighborhood.

As part of our celebration, we want to elevate the dozens of nonprofits living out Black philanthropy, or “love in action.” Get to know them below.
