2025 Community Grants Partners

At The Miami Foundation, we invest in Miami’s ability to address our community’s greatest opportunities and solve its most pressing issues. We believe in creating a more equitable, vibrant, and resilient Miami and live our values through our signature Community Grants program. We embrace trust-based philanthropy by providing flexible, mission-building support that enables organizations to focus on what they do best: serve Greater Miami.

Our commitment to trust-based philanthropy was made possible thanks to powerful partnerships with The Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation, Miami-Dade County, the State Attorney’s Office of Greater Miami, The Taft Foundation, and generous private donors who have entrusted their legacy to the foundation through field of interest funds. Through these partnerships, we are grateful to award $7 million over two years to our 2025 cohort of Community Grants Grantees.

The Community Grants process welcomed almost 900 proposals and were read alongside 100+ Community Advisors and discussed over 48 hours of meetings. The need is great, and requests significantly surpassed our available resources. The data illustrated below shows the magnitude of our community’s impact compared to the funding we could provide. Community Grants welcomed 894 applications from nonprofit organizations with over $45M in requests across seven funding categories. With the funding available, we were able to award 127 organizations with just over $7M over two years.
