Collage of Miami locations on blue background

“We Always Gone Shine” by Cornelius Tulloch

“We Always Gone Shine” is a photographic collage by Miami-based interdisciplinary artist and designer Cornelius Tulloch. This work celebrates the diverse multiplicity of Blackness in Greater Miami by highlighting architectural landmarks throughout Black neighborhoods in Miami-Dade County.

The vibrancy of these communities spans many cultural backgrounds and heritages to create a one of a kind tapestry of interwoven colors, patterns, and textures.

This piece showcases the lived experiences of Black Miami-Dade, the spaces that make it, and the individuals that continue to build its legacy.
