Kadie Black

Kadie Black

Community Advisory Council Member
Voices For Children

Kadie Black, a longtime champion for Miami-Dade’s foster children, leads Voices For Children as its president and CEO. Through a long-term 360 strategic plan focused on meeting the needs of children in care, Kadie is on track to exponentially increasing funding and community engagement for VFC, ushering in a new era for the organization.

Kadie’s passion and results-driven approach for helping children in need and community-focused organizations spans over two decades. She has succeeded in securing tens of millions for various children’s causes, established meaningful partnerships with private and public entities, and raised awareness about the plight of children in foster care. Before leading the VFC team and its lay leaders, she served as Director of Development at Kristi House, which provides treatment, advocacy, and coordination of services for children experiencing trauma. She also founded and led the Gantry Parent Association in Long Island City, NY, and served as the Director of External Affairs for Our Kids of Miami-Dade/Monroe, Inc.

Kadie has been honored as one of South Florida Business Journal’s Influential Businesswomen, Miami Women Who Rock’s Rising Stars, and Brickell Magazine’s 20 under 40.

Kadie’s passion and policy expertise fuel her vision for a brighter future for children in care so that they can reach their highest potential. Her inner child shines brightest when chasing shimmering bubbles.
