Venture Miami Scholarship Fund

The City of Miami and The Miami Foundation partner with 6 local postsecondary schools to offer scholarships.

The Venture Miami Scholarship Fund provides tuition gap funding for at-need City of Miami and Little Haiti residents who have been accepted into STEM or defined-demand occupation programs at participating colleges, universities, and trade schools.

At the time of application, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a City of Miami or Little Haiti resident
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

For College-Credit Programs:

  • Be a high school senior or a recent high school graduate (within the past four years) who is pursuing a degree, certificate, or license in a STEM program or high-wage/high-demand field and provide an official high school transcript or GED certificate.
  • Have a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Be accepted into a participating school
  • Must be a Pell grant recipient determined by the Florida Student Aid FAFSA guidelines.

For Vocational Programs:

  • Be accepted to or currently enrolled in a participating vocational program and pursuing a certificate or license in a STEM program or high-wage/high-demand field
  1. Check Your Residency
    • To confirm City of Miami residency, use this address lookup tool and type your address slowly in the box.
    • If your address appears, you’re within City limits. If it doesn’t, you’re outside the City of Miami.
      Note: The City of Miami is only a small part of Miami-Dade County—not all county residents qualify.
    • Residents of Little Haiti will be determined by the scholarship committee based on the address where you reside.

    • Access the Venture Miami Scholarship through our Scholarship Portal.
    • Register for an account to view all available opportunities.
    • Click “2026 Venture Miami” and complete the application.
