Rebecca Birkholz is the Grants Administration Manager at The Miami Foundation. After several years working in International Development and Grants Management for an INGO in Washington, DC, called the International Research and Exchange Board (IREX), Rebecca moved to Miami, Florida, with her husband and French Bulldog. Rebecca’s passionate pursuit to support historically marginalized and underserved communities led her to The Miami Foundation’s Grants Administration team, where she provides project management, operational expertise, and fiscal support to the Foundation’s fiscal sponsorship program and broader grants portfolio ensuring the grant programs and services of The Miami Foundation are expertly managed and meet the needs of our donors, sponsored projects, nonprofit partners, and internal stakeholders. Through this portfolio, Rebecca helps various partners, including private foundations, local government, and local individuals with big ideas, to get their projects off the ground and serve the Greater Miami area.
Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Florida and a Master of Arts in Middle East Studies from George Washington University. Outside of work and academics, Rebecca enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and attending Formula 1 races—and it’s a great weekend when she gets to combine all three!
