Kristin Guerin serves as Executive Director/CEO for Buddy System MIA, a young non-profit working to end food insecurity in Miami through community organizing, food rescue and art for social change. Kristin received her Bachelor’s Degree in Theology and Peace & Justice Studies with a minor in International Humanitarian from Fordham University. In March of 2020, Kristin co-founded Buddy System MIA in an effort to support homebound and food insecure neighbors through the pandemic.

Over the following 4 years, the organization had grown into a county-wide initiative, serving 5,000+ people experiencing food insecurity with the help of 1,400 volunteers and 500,000 lbs of rescued food. Kristin is also a professional actor, director and producer who works in theatre, film and television.
